Spatial Analysis of Regional Inequalities

The Summer School will focus on the most relevant concepts for analysing spatial inequalities as well as analytical models and frameworks required to be able to understand the determinants of inequalities and the implications for policy.

The lectures will be given by invited professors including Alessandra Faggian, Özge Öner, Otto Raspe, Eveline van Leeuwen,

Dimitris Ballas and Paul Elhorst.

2nd ERSA-REGIO Academic Lecture 2021

EU regions in industrial transition: green industrial path development and challenge-oriented regional innovation systems

24 June, 14:00-15:30 (CET) │ Online

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Michaela Trippl, Department of Geography and Regional Research, University of Vienna. It will seek to elucidate the highly uneven geographical patterns of green path development, focusing on varying preconditions, processes and outcomes in different types of regions. It will also shed light on how green restructuring is related to the emergence of challenge-oriented regional innovation systems in different places.
