Plenary and Keynote Sessions Update
The Local Organising Committee is delighted to update on their Keynote and Plenary Sessions.

 

Wednesday August 29th at 9.00, Professor Serge Rey will be the keynote Speaker of the The Spatial Economic Analysis Plenary Lecture.

 

It will be followed by be Papers in Regional Science Keynote Lecture to be given by Professor Ron Martin. His presentation is titled “The Resilience of Cities to Economic Shocks: Four Recessions and Brexit”.

 

On Thursday August 30th, Professor Eveline van Leeuwen will present the Regional Science Policy and Practice Keynote Lecture on urban-rural differences in policy and practice.

 

Friday August 31st will have the REGION Young Regional Scientists Roundtable. With this roundtable, the Programme Committee aim to provide a forum for young regional scientists to share their perspectives on the discipline.

ERSA-REGIO Upcoming Lecture

The 31st ERSA Summer School “Regional Policy Analysis and Planning – Evaluation Theory and Practice” will be held from 1st to 8th July, 2018 in Bratislava.

During the summer school programme, selected participants will present their research and get feedback from proven scholars. They will also learn and discuss new challenges in policy evaluation theory and practice with prominent lecturers including: Jan Fidrmuc, Ugo Fratesi, Gunther Maier, Joaquim Oliveira Martins, Guido Pellegrini, Andrés Rodríguez-Pose, Attila Varga

2nd ERSA-REGIO Lecture with Henri de Groot
We are delighted to confirm that Prof. Henri de Groot (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands ) will be the lecturer of our upcoming ERSA-REGIO Academic lecture. His lecture will focus on Opportunities and Challenges: He will speak about his research on the importance of regional development for cities, showing how cities in the EU combine opportunities with challenges, also in relation with Cohension Policy post2020 .Discussant: Prof. Céline Rozenblat, University of Lausanne, Switzerland
