Reminder – Call for papers – 4th Geography of Innovation Conference, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2018

Before you start your deserved summer break, allow us to remind you that the AQR research group, at the University of Barcelona, in partnership with EuroLIO, organizes the 4th Geography of Innovation Conference, Barcelona, January 31st-February 2nd, 2018.

We welcome submissions of Full Papers and Extended Abstracts in a wide range of topics at the cross-roads between economics, innovation and geography, including 30 Special Sessions organized by world leading academics in the field!

Among them, we would like to remind you about a session on Measuring Innovation Clusters, sponsored by the World Intellectual Property Organization. Besides, we would like to bring your attention to a new special session being organized on Intellectual property, economic geography and regional development: innovation, proximity and smart specialization. This special session invites contributions that examine the presence and role of both metropolitan and/or rural European regions in the ever-changing IP landscape. Check it out here!

Gillian Bristow (Cardiff University), exploring the complex interrelationships between innovation and the economic resilience of regions.
