II Workshop on “Economics of the Mediterranean and the Euromediterranean Process” – Barcelona 21-22, june

Only 4 weeks left to submit abstracts or papers for consideration for the II Workshop on “Economics of the Mediterranean and the Euromediterranean Process”! This workshop is co-organized by CREMed (Barcelona GSE and IEMed) and the European Institute (London School of Economics) and will take place June 21-22, 2011 in Barcelona.

 

The event will highlight Microeconomics and Macroeconomics topics relating to the Mediterranean, including Social Protection and Welfare, Environmental Economics, Human Development, Free Trade Agreements, Labor market and Migration, Fiscal and Monetary Policies among others.

 

The following three keynote speakers, all known for their top-level research in the field, will be contributing their expertise to this edition:

·         Prof. Fabio Canova, ICREA, UPF, CREMed Research Affiliate & Barcelona GSE Research Fellow

·         Prof. Mehmet Tosun, Research Fellow, Economic Research Forum & Professor of Economics, University of Nevada-Reno

·         Prof. Tarik Yousef, Professor at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University & Dean and Senior Research Fellow, Dubai School of Government, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

 

The workshop call for papers will close on December 31st 2010. Please submit your abstracts and expressions of interest to melanie.ator@cremed.eu before that date.
