Dear Colleague,
CEF.UP and NIPE are jointly organizing a Workshop on recent research developments based on LEED (linked employer-employee data). We aim to promote the interaction of researchers within this community by creating a forum for the discussion of applied and theoretical contributions in economics and the role of LEED in opening new research paths.
The event will count with the participation of John M. Abowd, Francis Kramarz and Jean-Marc Robin as invited lectures.This event celebrates the decision to make the Portuguese LEED, Quadros de Pessoal, fully accessible (conditional on special permission) to the academic community. Quadros de Pessoal is internationally renowned as one of the richest data sets on product and labour markets, with detailed and comprehensive information on workers and firms.We encourage researchers using LEED, including PhD students, to submit a related paper to this Workshop.
The deadline for paper submission is March 20, 2011. Applicants will be notified about the status of their submissions by April 15, 2011.All correspondence should be addressed to Ana Bonança, leed_workshop@fep.up.pt.
