We would like to cordially invite you to a conference, organised by the Federal State of Bremen Staying Competitive in a Changing World – Regional Innovation and Cohesion Policies in Present and Future with the example of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen for the significance of ERDF assistance for the regional innovation system.

Regional innovation is one of the key factors for a successful regional development in a changing world and EU cohesion policies provide crucial instruments to assist the regions in this objective. The conference will demonstrate different experiences and important factors to prove the successful support for regional innovation through regional development policies. Two presentations will focus on this interaction with a supra-regional perspective given by a representative of the OECD and the regional perspective presented by the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany. After these presentations a panel of invited guests will discuss the present and future possibilities to support regional innovation by the ERDF. We would be delighted to welcome you!
