CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

2nd RSAI Summer Course | 4th-9th of June 2012 – Azores, Portugal

 

The Regional Science Association International organizes its 2nd Summer Course, with the theme Regional and Urban Economics – Operational models of regional economies and spatial econometrics  that will be held between June 4th until June 9th 2011 in São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal.

 

The RSAI Summer Course offers an integrated structure of training, active participation, and discussion for PhD students and young researchers in regional science.

 

The summer course will be focused on the issue Regional and Urban Economics, Operational models of regional economies and spatial econometrics. In a format of combined lectures and hands on training provided by top-level experts that will lectures the following themes of regional science: Regional and Urban Economics, Transport Economics, Spatial econometrics & Operational models of regional and urban economies.

 

How to apply?

 

Application process

Master student, doctoral, PhD students and other applicants who want to participate in the summer course should submit the Application Form  (download file) by email to rsai@apdr.pt.

This Application Form must be accompanied by:

§  Name and address of two researchers who are willing to write a letter of recommendation (may include the doctoral / PhD supervisor)

§  Scientific CV.

 

Deadlines

§  Application Form (Abstract submission): 15th April

§  Notification of accepted abstracts: until 30th April 

§  Paper submission: 15th May

 

Registration

 

The registration fee is 200 euros (The number of participants is limited to 30).

It includes: attending all lectures, study visit, lunches, official dinner and accommodation in double room.
