Last fall, RSAI undertook to revamp our web site to better communicate to the world of academicians and practitioners what regional scientists contribute to society and the activities that our community is engaged. After considerable some work done by RSAI's Filipe Fernandes and Elisabete Martins, we are delighted to announce the launch of RSAI's new webpage (www.regionalscience.org). The new design gives us enhanced flexibility to update the content and a refreshed look, while preserving the overall branding features that have helped us positioning RSAI as the leading worldwide organization dedicated to regional and urban scholarship and practice.
With the new design, the following features stand out:
– Quick and dynamic information, like announcements and reports of events, training courses, creation of new sections and reinforcement of the existing ones, new boards of directors, awards and other news items that members would like to spread to the regional science community (with photos, posters, movies,…).
– The usual space for more stable information on the Association and its affiliates: the constitution, by-laws and minutes of the Council; the list of awardees, fellows and boards of directors, the events calendar and the links to regional science journals
– Links to our journals, Papers in Regional Science and Regional Science Policy and Practice
– The connection to the members database were everybody can search for RSAI members
– Furthermore, space has been created for new ideas that will come to fruition in the future: on-line inquiries, working papers, on-line regional science classes,…
We see this new page as an important vehicle to bring our community together. We invite you to check it out, give us feedback, and most important provide us with news and information items, in the form of text, visual or audio clips to spread the word on the terrific work you all do.
Happy browsing!
