Call for abstracts

Estimados compañeros:

Os recordamos que el próximo 15 de mayo es la fecha límite para mandar el resumen de vuestras comunicaciones para la XLI Reunión de Estudios Regionales, que tendrá lugar los días 18, 19 y 20 de noviembre de 2015 en la Universidad Rovira i Virgili.

El lema de esta edición es «Innovation and Geographical Spillovers: New Approaches and Evidence». Asimismo, podéis observar en la WEB del Congreso que en esta edición se ha ampliado el número de áreas temáticas (17) y de sesiones especiales (6), para que todos los que estamos interesados en el territorio encontremos nuestro espacio, seamos economistas, geógrafos o urbanistas. ¡Vuestra participación es indispensable!

Nosotros estamos diseñando un congreso atractivo a nivel académico del cual os podemos adelantar las siguientes actividades:

• Taller sobre «Spatial Econometrics with the R Package», impartido por Coro Chasco (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) y Julie Le Gallo (Université de Franche-Comté). Curso gratuito.

• David B. Audretsch presentará «Innovation Spillovers: a Strategy for the Crisis», Indiana University.
• David B. Bailey presentará «Drivers of Change in the Global Auto Industry», Aston Business School.

A nivel más lúdico, estamos cerrando el resto de actividades, de las cuales os informaremos más adelante.

Así pues, recordad que el próximo día 15 de mayo es la fecha límite para la entrega de resúmenes. COMIENZA LA CUENTA ATRÁS.

Call for abstracts

Dear colleagues:

We would like to remind you that 15 May is the deadline for sending your abstracts to the XLI International Conference on Regional Science. This event will take place at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili between 18 and the 20 November 2015.

The lemma of this conference will be Innovation and Geographical Spillovers: New Approaches and Evidence. Furthermore, as you may have seen on the conference website, the number of subject areas has increased (17), as have the special sessions (6), so that everyone interested in territorial-based issues will be catered for, be they economists, geographers or urban planners. Your participation is essential!

We are currently designing an attractive conference at academic level, however are able to provide the information on contents– Workshop: “Spatial Econometrics with the R Package”, presented by Coro Chasco (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and Julie Le Gallo (Université de Franche-Comté). Free course.

– David B. Audretsch will be presenting “Innovation Spillovers: a Strategy for the Crisis”, Indiana University

– David B. Bailey will be speaking on “Drivers of Change in the Global Auto Industry”, Aston Business School.

With respect to leisure activities, we are also planning different events, which we will be announcing at a later date.
