2013 Barcelona Workshop on Regional and Urban Economics: Call for papers – AQR-IREA – November 28th-29th 2013 at the University of Barcelona.

Dear Colleague,  

AQR-IREA is pleased to announce the 2013 BARCELONA WORKSHOP ON REGIONAL AND URBAN ECONOMICS: Agglomeration Economics that will be held on November 28th-29th 2013 at the University of Barcelona.

 

The aim of this workshop is to bring together cutting-edge research papers on agglomeration economies and urban economics in general. Particular attention will be paid to papers dealing with both micro and macro approaches of agglomeration economies, their production or consumption nature, and of course causes or consequences derived from them. The 2013 AQR-IREA Workshop is also the 4th International ERSA Workshop.

 

The lecture of the Workshop will be given by Mark Partridge (Ohio State University).

 

Call for papers

 

Although the Workshop will focus on empirical papers, theoretical studies are also welcome. The accepted papers (between 7) will be presented in plenary sessions that will complement the keynote speaker presentation. Papers should be sent in pdf format to aqr_workshop@ub.edu before September 6th, 2013. Detailed abstracts will also be considered, but full papers will be favoured.

 

Travel and accommodation costs for successful papers will be covered by the organisers.

Deadline for papers submission: September 6th 2013

Deadline for acceptance of papers: September 20th 2013

Preliminary programme: September 27th 2013

Final programme: October 4th 2013
