The Department of Economics of the Universidad Católica del Norte, Chile, requires a Post-Doctoral in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Econometrics or related areas, to develop research and (potentially) teaching activities related with:

1. Urban Economics, Regional Economics, Economic Geography, Spatial Econometrics, Resource Economics, Political Economy and Socio-economic/territorial Development.
2. Econometrics and statistical software skills.

The candidate will join to a research team focused on high-level research in topics related with Regional Economics.

1. Be able to develop and maintain an externally funded research program at national or international level
2. Be able to contribute to the Department’s interdisciplinary mission with publications; and
3. Support the Department management and outreach activities
4. Good interpersonal as well communication skills (both written and oral) in English and preferably in Spanish .
5. Flexibility to collaborate in existing research projects with unknown teams.
