Launch of new research centre at host of ERSA Congress 2018
The Spatial and Regional Economics Research Centre (SRERC) at University College Cork was launched on June 13, 2018. The launch included a keynote lecture by Professor Andres Rodriguez-Pose of the London School of Economics. The centre is key to the hosting of the ERSA Congress in Cork this year. Its directors are Justin Doran and Declan Jordan, Chair of the LOC for the Congress. The centre has emerged from the extensive experience and research expertise in regional science developed by a cluster of staff in the Department of Economics, University College Cork. It operates on the philosophy of research excellence and policy relevance. The Centre focuses on three central themes; Spatial Economic Analysis, Spatial Analysis of Innovation and Firm Growth, and City and Regional Economics. More information on the centre and its members is available at www.ucc.ie/en/srerc |
