Vicente Royuela from the University of Barcelona has taken over the role of managing editor of REGION from Roberto Patuelli. Many thanks to Roberto Patuelli for the great job he has done in the starting period of REGION. He has been crucial in getting the journal started and has contributed tremendously to its success. In the position of an editor Roberto will still contribute to REGION in the future.

We wish Vicente Royuela all the best for his position as managing editor of REGION. With the support of an excellent and experienced editorial team he will lead REGION into the next phase of development.

REGION is open access. It is freely available to readers and does not charge submission or publication fees from authors.
